The Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Trade School provides an open access to training. This craft also offers an excellent opportunity for women in the terrazzo, tile and stone industry.

Training courses are available for beginners, as well as comprehensive training in the craft for advanced workers.

There are various workstations throughout the Trade School to provide hands-on training in all aspects of terrazzo, tile and natural stone installations. The school is set up to simulate an actual construction site.

                Each 9 week course runs Monday to Friday

                              7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

*Apprenticeship training course hours count towards the total 5600 hour terrazzo, tile & marble apprenticeship

  • All Trade School applicants are invited to a scheduled interview by a Committee consisting of Trade School administration, Union and Ministry people, prior to the beginning of each course session. *

TUITION

Basic 9-week course:  $360.00
Advanced 9-week course: $300.00

* A fully refundable $25 Application Fee is payable by cheque or cash when the application is submitted. On acceptance, the $25 fee is credited to the individual's Trade School tuition. Should the applicant not be accepted, the $25 fee will be refunded in full. If the applicant fails to attend the scheduled interview, the $25 fee is forfeited and applied to TTMTS for administrative costs.

Courses are open to residents of Ontario only.
